Looking for a civic hacking project to volunteer on, a great team of people to join, and/or an idea to run with all the way to the Github endzone?
This is your night.
Monday, Feb. 15, from 6-8pm at the Sprint Accelerator (210 W. 19th Ter) Code for KC will be hosting a Project Rally to recruit volunteers to work on technology projects for community good.
We’ve got a number of projects that are using open data and open source technology to build apps that will help everyday people. Some projects are already underway, and others are just getting started. The areas we’re focusing on are smart city data, resources for entrepreneurs, city permits, land use and development, health, safety, and neighborhood revitalization.
All projects are looking for people who can crunch data, commit code, conduct UX, project-manage, design, research, inform public policy, and produce content.
