Kansas City Community Builders to Watch is a limited feature series, recognizing a curated group of Kansas Citians with exceptional stories of community impact and honored for their work to build a Kansas City where entrepreneurs, innovators, makers, creatives, risk-takers, leaders, learners, teachers, and builders thrive together.
The 2022 Kansas City Community Builders to Watch series is presented in partnership with Engenious Design. A June 15 reception — held in person at KC Live! in the Power and Light District — recognizing the collective accomplishments of each honoree is made possible by supporting sponsors at Cyderes, C2FO, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and KC BizCare.

The 2022 class of Community Builders to Watch includes:
I’m not building this legacy on my own. It’s a legacy of connection. It’s a legacy of community.
[My] ultimate goal is that Kansas City takes a hold of programs that are building a workforce that’s not traditional.
I try to live in the now as much as I can and try to make an impact on a daily basis.
My hope is that one day soon, all citizens in the metro area will feel safe, included and prosperous in our community.
My hope is that the work we do creates a space and opportunity for many people in the community.
