“Intentional Collisions” – Hack-in-Action: Why it’s Essential to Secure your Web & Mobile Applications
It’s time for another Intentional Collisions and this time we will be taking a deep dive into hacking – of both mobile and web applications.
What is the Intentional Collisions program? Every month or so Sprint Accelerator co-organizes a themed coworking day with a theme sponsor (champion); bringing together people interested in similar subjects and/or working towards common goals. To learn more about the overall program or submit an idea for a theme, please visit our Programs page. With a technical audience, we’ll delve into the topic of Web & Mobile Application Security. The space will be open 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM with a live demo of a hack-in-action – exposing the vulnerabilities and interconnectedness of software and IT systems we all use and rely upon.
The space will be open to attendees 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Join us for a talk at 1PM led by:
Jeff Beard-Shouse, Cyber Security Evangelist and Security Consultant, Security PS
“Looking at the Big Picture: Demonstrating the Interconnectedness of Software and IT Systems” – Jeff will show the implications of some security vulnerabilities in web & mobile apps. These vulnerabilities are often the entry point for hackers taking over corporate networks.
The space will be open to attendees 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM
11:30 AM – Sprint Accelerator space opens to attendees to work and meet one another
1:00 PM – Presentation and Live Demo Hack by Jeff Beard-Shouse
2:15 PM – Presentation concludes with time for Q&A and open discussion to follow
3:30 PM – Sprint Accelerator space closes to attendees, so swap info and say your goodbyes!
The upstairs space will be open from 11:30am-3:30pm for you to work in an open and collaborative space (individually or with your team), while hearing what others are working on in web/mobile app security.
This event is for you if:
– You’re building a technology solution that must take web/mobile security and privacy into consideration
– You work in the IT security and/or privacy space
– You are a developer, manager or part of the overall IT staff of your organization
– You are energized by brainstorming with and learning from intelligent people
We look forward to seeing you there!
