When was the last time your imagination ran wild?

Come check out some bleeding-edge tech at our July Meetup: “Hands on with the HoloLens”. John Alexander from AJI Software will be demoing a Microsoft HoloLens for the event. Then we’ll have some time slots where you can get hands on and wear the VR headset yourself. We’ll have 2 HoloLens devices to play with, thanks to the kindness of both AJI Software and Mike Reed of our group.

These devices are brand new and extremely rare (these are the only 2 in existence in Kansas City that we know of). The Microsoft HoloLens is different to Oculus Rift and most other virtual reality headsets in the market because it focuses on “augmented reality” – superimposing a virtual display on top of your existing view – rather than a completely enclosed headset with no view of the outside. On top of all this, the folks at Think Big coworking space in the Crossroads have generously donated their event space for the evening so we’ll be having the event in a cutting-edge coworking space commonly shared by some of the most noteworthy startups in KC.
