Powered by Kansas City Women in Technology, Coding & Cupcakes is a monthly coding workshop for moms and daughters.
Building websites may not be a common mother-daughter activity, but we’re determined to change that! Mom-daughter duos will envision themselves cupcake shop owners in need of creating a website to show of their baked goods. They’ll learn website building from start to finish, doing everything from displaying their own copy to adding a color theme to suit their tastes to hosting their site on Github Pages.
We’ll take a break mid-session to enjoy a special cupcake treat from Babycakes. Flavors of strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, and carrot cake are the perfect fuel for building websites.
